Booking

What happens if I don´t return the bike in time?

If you fail to return the bike according to our agreement you will be debited 3 days rental cost of €105 and then €50/day thereafter, this is because we will have a problem delivering the bike to our next cyclist. If we have not been contacted and bike is not returned the hirer will be reported to the local police, so it is of the utmost importance that you contact us in case of any problem with your return.

Can I add multiple reservations on one booking?

Yes you can. If you want to make a reservation for a bigger group contact us and we will help you with the reservation.

What does your insurance cost and what does it cover?

We offer a insurance at a flat rate of €30. It covers damage that can occur under normal use of the bike.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you want to cancel your bike reservation our policy is as follows: Cancellation until 4 weeks before 1st. rental day, full refund of the paid amount. Cancellation made between 4 to 2 weeks before 1st. rental day, 50% refund of the paid amount. Cancellation made between 2 to 1 week before 1st. rental day, 20% refund of the paid amount. Cancellation made within 7 days before 1st. rental day, no refund will be given.

Do your prices include tax (vat,iva)?

Yes, all our rates and prices includes tax (vat,iva). A lot of bike rental companies on Mallorca have their prices without tax so the final price is not as cheap as it first appear!

Where do I collect the bike ?

You can collect your bike at our shop that is located in Palma Santa Catalina C/ Caro 56 or at Puerto Azul in Puerto Pollensa during mid March til end of May. Opening hours Mon-Sun: 9-13 and 16-18. Make sure to book your bike at the correct location.

What time do I have to return the bike?

Before 18:00 on your last day.

When do you confirm my booking if i pay by a banktransfer?

An e-mail will be sent to you automatically to confirm your booking when your payment comes to Bikehead.

Can I have the bike delivered?

We are unable to offer a delivery service and bikes must be collected and returned either at our shop in Palma or in Puerto Pollença.

Equipment

What kind of pedals can you provide?

If you forgot to bring your pedals, these are the types of pedals we can provide; Shimano SPD, SPD-SL, Look keo and flat pedals at a flat rate of €10.

How do i get the right size for my bike?

Check out our size charts for the corresponding bike.

Do you provide helmets?

Yes, we can provide a basic helmet for a flat rate of €10. Although we suggest that you bring your own to get the best fit (safety).

What do i need to bring?

We recommend that you bring your own shoes, pedals and helmet. Bringing your own saddle is a very good idea for optimal comfort during long rides.

Do you have road bikes with sram or campagnolo?

No. We work exclusively with Shimano.

Do you have road bikes with triple chainset?

No, all of our bikes come with double chainsets. For information about gear ratios, please click here.

What comes with the bike?

Saddle bag with 1 inner tube, 2 tyre levers, pump and a 4mm allen key. All bikes are equipped with two bottle cages. We have bottles for sale at the bike station. We are able to supply simple garmin handlebar mounts upon request.

What happens if I’m having a problem while out riding?

To fix a flat tire should be easy with the equipment you get in the saddle bag. We urge you to sign up to the service provided by Mallorca Bicycle rescue  before you arrive. If there is something wrong with your bike please come see us at our shop and we will fix it for you.

I would like to have another cassette is that possible?

No, your bike will be set up according to the specifications which you can find here.

Can you set up the bike?

We can set your bike up if you provide us with the three measurements M1-M2-M3 displayed at the booking page, you can login in to your account and add this information later in case you don´t have them when making the reservation. Our mechanics will do their best to make you as comfortable on the bike as possible.

Can you set my bike up according to my bikefit?

We can set the bike up according to the three measurements M1-M2-M3 that you can provide either when booking or by logging in to your account but we will not convert bike fits sent to us.

Miscellaneous

Can you recommend a bike route?

Please explore our bike routes page for suggestions, we have routes for everybody. If you have suggestions of other routes please let us know and we will add the route on our website!

Do you offer insurance that covers theft of the bike?

No, we don’t have any insurance that covers theft. But we can offer a insurance that covers damages on the bike. To avoid theft of your bike always store your bike in your hotel room or use the hotel bike storage room if the hotel has got a bike storage room with individual locker system, video cameras or similar system. Ask at the hotel who is responsible if the bike gets stolen from the storage room…. the hotel or you?

Do I need to clean the bike before i return it?

No, you’re on holiday so we’ll take care of it!

What are your opening hours?

In our Palma shop we are open all year around by appointment, in Puerto Pollença (Puerto Azul Suit hotel) we are open during high season March 20th til end of May between 09:00-13:00 and 16:00-18:00.
